Amy Stackhouse

Amy is an instructional designer with over 15 years of experience in e-learning managing the development, delivery, and maintenance of online courses for the School of Business for the Nova Scotia Community College. She enjoys working with faculty to create engaging learning experiences and improving course strength and modernizing instruction with a fresh and forward-thinking approach to education.

She loves working with faculty to gently push them past their comfort zone to embrace e-learning and see its potential as a powerful, yet often underestimated, delivery format.

She is one of the facilitators for her department. She co-develops and delivers workshops and courses to faculty on new tools and techniques to improve interaction, class engagement and retention.

She also teaches online, part-time, for the Nova Scotia Community College, for over 13 years in the School of Business. She loves delivering fun, rich and engaging learning experiences for her students who are often surprised how quickly they feel connected to each other and to her without ever stepping foot in a physical classroom.

Amy lives in Nova Scotia with her partner and dog and enjoys taking in as much of the beautiful scenery as possible through hiking and photography. She also enjoys music (playing and listening), painting, and drawing.
